Mantras; or, Sunday Morning

- Healthy pregnancies begin this way, too (from Adele).

- There's nothing I can do to affect this outcome.

- Less than two weeks until we know for sure.

- The odds are in our favor.

- One of these days, something will work for us, and it might be today.

- I'm strong enough to handle whatever comes.

- One day at a time. Every normal day is a good day.

- Pregnant until proven otherwise.

Please stay strong, little smudge. You've done such a good job so far. Please keep growing strong and healthy for us.

  5. Post these by your computer. On your bathroom mirror. On the fridge. In your car. Anywhere to remind you that TODAY you are pregnant and that this baby deserves our love and our faith. Love you (both), so much.

  12. What Adele said x100. These are the first steps that everyone goes through. The knowledge that the cliff is so treacherous on either side is the curse of this mess. You are on the path. And I'm going to pray for such bright lights of joy to keep you going for these weeks.

  13. The odds are definitely in your favor, Sloper. This pregnancy will work out. You're already past the one hurdle: you got pregnant! Things will work out--it's time they just have to. xoxo

  14. Every single one of these things is true, Sloper. It's such a long, hard wait. But all we can do is repeat those things to ourselves. And to take things minute by minute.

  15. OMG, first off I'm sorry for missing this but YAY!!! So excited for you, and I SO know what you're going through right now. I was a wreck those first couple of weeks, basically a total crazy person until I passed the day where it all ended the first time. So just take it day by day and these mantras are so so great! Its so hard in the begining, but you can do it, and I have everything crossed for you. Just keep that zen state of mind going!!!
