It'd be very hard to leave a baby that young in somebody else's care, but it's of course also a matter of that no one does it here, so that's why it seems so scary to me. And on the other hand there is of course the advantage of getting a little bit of time to yourself.RbMommyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01514356970166407419noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1370623155565789372.post-12914529191611743342012-01-30T09:19:38.302-08:002012-01-30T09:19:38.302-08:00I hope the transition to you going back goes smoot...I hope the transition to you going back goes smoothly. I love the nickname train and how clever you are with names. I might need to consult on girls at some point. I fear that my names will peg a darling goth or future stripper inadvertently.

I know the transition to work life will be a challenge, but I know what a glorious reward seeing yourlittleman will be!Mrs. Misfitshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12245258330689439524noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1370623155565789372.post-46740413616956784682012-01-23T11:35:41.017-08:002012-01-23T11:35:41.017-08:00Those are great nicknames. I'm picturing 5 year old Smudgie on his first day of kindergarten. It's perfect. I don't need to know his "real" name. :)

I hope the nanny share goes well! That's a tough transition.Rebeccahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05382638658909144208noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1370623155565789372.post-54071764801534684692012-01-21T13:53:09.240-08:002012-01-21T13:53:09.240-08:00It's probably wise not to share Smudgie's ...It's probably wise not to share Smudgie's name if you wish for anonymity. Park Slope seems like a blog-happy neighborhood. I live here too, but since I'm in school also and couldn't get a break, I haven't had time to meet other new moms. I've loved reading your blog posts instead. I'm a month behind you, and I'm hoping for nights like yours. Oh, sleep. Smudgie sounds like a most wonderful baby.AShttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07588317658803614789noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1370623155565789372.post-78427310239942958622012-01-21T12:50:36.883-08:002012-01-21T12:50:36.883-08:00I love your nicknames for Smudgie, which are way m...I love your nicknames for Smudgie, which are way more inventive than ours (though I AM rather proud of Smiley McSmilerson).

We're in about the same place sleep-wise by the way. Some days worse, some days better. And he's also (just) started having his morning nap in his bed. In the afternoons it becomes harder to predict, though, and we're a bit loosey-goosey with it.

I'm glad you're going to get those two days a week, but I also know what you mean about the good vs. hard.Adelehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06955659206478903815noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1370623155565789372.post-41916636201172043032012-01-21T11:59:02.056-08:002012-01-21T11:59:02.056-08:00I love to hear how contented you sound!
